OK, the GTP is starting warm up a little, i remember a recipe for our cars is?

(1) water wetter
(2) distilled water and
(3) which antifreeze?

I'll be doing my GTP and taffies MC

And yes, we both currently have the brown shit antifreeze..

Water Wetter + distilled water.

No antifreeze.

Antifreeze really just keeps the coolant from freezing(no worries in phx). It also provides rust inhibitors to keep the water from rusting internal parts. Water has much better cooling properties than antifreeze. There is absolutely no reason to run any antifreeze in a place like Phoenix.

I have always run just purified water + a bottle of Prestone rust inhibitor in my vehicles. Add a bottle of Water Wetter to the above mix and it would cool even better.

Duke,
I just put a bottle or two in each engine coolant water and IC cooling water circulating system..
Depends on how many bottles I have at the time I'm flushing and refilling etc...
I give the priority to the IC water first, then engine coolant.

I'd suggest 1 botle of Water wetter per car and all the water should be distilled. Just keep it simple. I would also overfill the engine coolant resivour water bottle the very fist time you fill it, it will self level the first time you start circulating and get the air bubbles out.

Have fun.

Are you going to flush it?
Sorry,
How are you going to flush it?..

Your recipe sounds better robert. I might just try it.

i did my car when i first bought it at 29,000, then i took it in for something and they put the brown shit back in, I drain then add just distilled water, run it around the block, drain it, if it's dirty I'll do it again, drain, then add the special ingredience. Taffies car is 5 years old, and i don't think we've ever touched her coolant, So she's due for sure.

well, got both cars done, the MC didn't have a drain plug, so i had to pull the lower hose all night, did both cars at the same time, took about 8 hours with the draining filling, prestone flushed altho inside looked clean, more rinsing, the speacial blend is in the gtp, haven't had the car out yet to see if it worked, i'll let you all know.

Did see a lot of greasy dirt on taffies compressor. i think she's going to see if its warranteed. she's at like 99,600 miles
